Course Improvement Fund Committee (CIFC)

What is it?

The Course Improvement Fundraising Committee was set up in 2016 to raise money which would be ringfenced for future course improvement (NOT ongoing maintenance or repairs).

The Club Committee were concerned that in these difficult economic times for golf clubs generally it was likely to be course development which was likely to be sacrificed first.

Whilst it has not yet come to "survival of the fittest" the Committee is determined that our golf course will maintain its position as one of the very best in the North East.

It is essential that we make our offering as attractive as possible to both members- existing and prospective -and to visitors.

After considering all of the options the CIFC determined upon three separate fundraisers:

50/50 Draw

A 50/50 Club where members pay £10 per month for an individual number (no limit on how many).

Half the money raised is returned to First, Second and Third place winners each month with bumper draws in June and December.

First prize in these draws is well over £1000 so well worth a punt!.

Details of monthly winners and the pot are displayed in the clubhouse and intimated in our Pro's online News.

New members are very welcome and applications can be had from the office, the bar or the pro shop

Monday 3rd May 2021

This is the first internal event at the Club this year to help raise funds for our course improvement programme to be initiated this winter. All money will be spent on the course. We have linked our internal event to the Loch Lomond Whiskies Prize draw. So, come along and have some fun whilst supporting your club. Entry fee is £10/person.

Event format

Individual and Team Stableford – under the Loch Lomond banner - teams of 3 - this would allow three households to sit together after round outside – but still 2 households inside
2 best stableford scores at each hole – team captain to record team scores and each member records their own scores. Gary will manage on the day.
