PEGGS
Peterculter Elderly Gents Golfing Section
The PEGGS is a section within the Senior Gents membership of Peterculter Golf Club. They play almost every Monday morning throughout the season and right through the winter also.
A draw is made each Monday for the following week and it appears on the clubs booking system so that you can add or remove your name or just check your time.
Cost is £20 per season and this covers all the prize money.
PEGGS Special Events
Throughout the year there are three Texas Scrambles followed by a lunch. They are held:
- at the end of the summer programme (after the time changes)
- pre Christmas
- at the end of the winter programme (before the time changes)
Senior Friendlies
The Senior Friendlies are home and away matches against 8 other local clubs - Aboyne, Banchory, Craibstone, Deeside, Kemnay, Portlethen, Stonehaven and Westhill. There is no official league, it is just competitive but friendly golf.
Most matches involve teams of 16 and are decided on match play with the lowest player off scratch and the others receiving 0.9 of the difference in handicap. These are friendly/social matches but are contested quite seriously by some clubs more than others!
We are always on the look out for players. These matches are open to all Seniors not just PEGGS. We try to involve all who express an interest in playing regardless of handicap! Sign up today!
Home ties are played on Thursday afternoons from 12.00. Away matches take place on different days and times. We enjoy a bacon roll and tea/coffee before play and a 2 course meal with tea/coffee after.
For more information contact Neil Craig, Athol Garden or Ricci Marioni.
CADS - Central Aberdeen District Seniors
