Greenkeepers News

Latest news

Thanks for all the positive comments on the golf course so far.  We are working hard to ensure the course is in as good condition as possible.

In order to maintain the long term quality of the greens we will be commencing with coring on Monday 2nd April.

We will be utilising the winter greens as we are working on each green. Once the green has been completed, cleared and cut they will go straight back on.

Next week we will also be digging up the ditch on the 18th to alleviate the flooding on the fairway which has occurred due to the work in the field.

Dressing of the greens will be completed shortly after the coring.

May Update:

Sunnier weather means things are now growing much quicker.  Lots of cutting and tidying.

Greens are not quite up to standard yet so lots of work being carried out on them to try and get a better surface as some areas are growing faster than others. .

They have been top dressed twice in the past week to try and speed up the growth in the poorer areas.

They are expected to improve over the next couple of weeks so please be patient.

With the following restrictions: Fairway Mats, Temporary Greens The course has still some bits of ice on it especially the 4th,5th and 7th winter greens. Would recommend not putting on these greens.
